SmokeClock ("we", "our", or "the app") is an iOS application that helps users gradually reduce and quit smoking. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

Short version: SmokeClock stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information with third parties.

2. Data stored on your device

The following data is stored exclusively on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework:

  • Your smoking plan (daily cigarette count, target quit date)
  • Your schedule preferences (wake time, bed time)
  • Pack price and quantity (used to calculate your savings)
  • Smoking events you log within the app
  • Your progress history

This data never leaves your device. It is not uploaded to any server, cloud, or third party.

3. Sign in with Apple

SmokeClock offers optional Sign in with Apple. If you choose to sign in:

  • We receive an anonymized Apple User ID that identifies your account.
  • We do not receive your name or email address unless you explicitly choose to share them during the Apple sign-in flow.
  • This identifier is stored locally on your device only.

Sign in with Apple is optional. You can use the app without signing in.

4. Home screen widget

SmokeClock includes an optional home screen widget. To display data in the widget, the app uses Apple's App Group mechanism — a shared local storage area between the app and the widget extension. This data is stored on your device only and is never transmitted.

5. Purchases

In-app purchases (monthly subscription and lifetime access) are processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit. We do not handle, store, or have access to your payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how Apple handles purchase data.

6. Analytics and tracking

SmokeClock does not use any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking tools. We do not track your behavior across other apps or websites.

7. Notifications

If you grant permission, SmokeClock sends local push notifications to remind you of your scheduled cigarettes. These notifications are generated on your device and do not involve any server communication.

8. Children's privacy

SmokeClock is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect any data from minors.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
